The NVRC strives to provide the most comprehensive and accurate data available on the number of Vehicle Residents living in this country. This is a very difficult population to count and track as only some states and municipalities take these counts. Some Continuums of Care take count of Vehicle Residents every two years when they conduct Point in Time Counts of unhoused individuals in their communities. We are in the process of compiling the available data on vehicle residents for use in providing accurate statistics to policy makers and advocates.
