Reggie has been organizing to fight various attempts to criminalize people living in vehicles in the City of Santa Cruz for the past 3 years. He believes that vehicle shelter represents the only real form of extremely low-income housing available to people and that it must be protected, not just as a shelter of last resort, but as a housing option that can allow apartment dwellers a safety net that can encourage more radical tenant organizing and shift the balance of power away from landlords; reducing rent and increasing housing stability in the process.
